Some things to consider…

 

  • How long does it take?

    On average, it takes 25 to 35 lessons to fully skill a student. These lessons are five days per week (Monday - Friday) for ten minutes each day.

  • How much is the investment?

    There are three fees to consider when thinking about signing your child up for lessons:

    1. A non-refundable medical registration fee to National ISR ($105).

    2. Weekly tuition of $125 for five to seven weeks, depending on skill mastery.

    3. When signing up for a time slot, we require a $125 non-refundable deposit. This holds your spot and will be applied to your first week’s tuition.

  • What time should I select for lessons?

    Please be sure to pick a time that you will be able to maintain throughout lessons, as your time will be the same each day. An important detail to remember is that children are not allowed to eat or drink two hours prior to lessons - it's much trickier swimming and floating and with a full tummy!

  • How do you feel about safety?

    Safety is ISR's number one priority. ISR provides strict safety protocols to its instructors and ensures that they are followed. This also means that we may have to adjust or cancel lessons for your child if he or she were to get sick or have a medical issue. Please reach out at any time for a copy of these protocols and guidelines.

  • How do you feel about communication?

    Communication is key. We will do our best to update you on your child’s progress and answer any questions that you may have. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to bring them to our attention. We can only address these questions if we are aware of them.

  • What if I can't bring my child each day?

    We understand that you may not be able to bring your child each day. Anyone that you trust may bring your child to lessons as long as they follow the safety protocols that are listed in the contract.

Host Pools

Would you like to have lessons taught in the comfort of your own pool? Becoming a host pool allows you to have lessons in your own back yard. Signing up to become a host pool allows you to provide your children with lessons but also help families near you. Host pools are chosen based on a predetermined list of criteria:

  1. Location: Where is your pool located?

  2. Availability: When do we have access to the pool?

  3. Number of students: Families would have to be open to a full session in their pool. This means six to seven weeks, Monday through Friday, for two to two and a half hours each day.

  4. Is the pool in-ground or above ground? : If above ground, is there an attached deck or platform? It is necessary to have a safe and secure place for children to exit the pool.

  5. Is the pool heated? : For early morning, late evening, late fall, or early spring sessions, a heated pool allows us to continue in the water in order to follow ISR safety protocols.
